Microsoft has released a Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 10 for the developers. The next version of IE is very promising and has added a lot of support for the CSS 3 and HTML 5 tags and DOCTYPEs. Some of the key highlights of this version are:
- Better Hardware acceleration for efficient battery consumption
- Sandbox and iFrame isolation that provides security for web applications
- Improved Web Workers with a new JavaScript alogithm that would make them load in the background.
- IE 10 now support HTML5 parsing algorithm fully.
The IE 10 Platform Preview is now available for download from Microsoft. The browser looks really neat with a minimalist layout. But then , this is just a Platform Preview release and many more is yet to come in the future. The video below shows the best of the performance that IE can give to the end-user.
The video demonstrated a fountain in front of the monument, which is completely being rendered by the new JavaScript engine and HTML 5 parser.
