Export Facebook contacts to Google+ even if its blocked

Open-Xchange tool enables you to export all your Facebook contacts to Google+ even thought Facebook has blocked contacts export!

If you are an existing Google+ user and want to connect or bring all your Facebook friends into Google+, the only was right now is to export the contacts from Facebook, import it to Google Contacts. But recently, for no reason, Facebook has blocked the contact export extension and some folks has found a workaround. Here’s what you need to know.

Open-Xchange is an opensource tool that will uses the APIs from various social networks and match them with your contacts’ information. This tool, which is web-based and can be accessed at Ox.io, forms a giant address book out of your entire social networking history. Here’s something you need to know before you could proceed with this tutorial:

[alert_box type=”Success”]It is not possible for Facebook to block this tool, since it uses Facebook’s official API[/alert_box] [alert_box type=”General”]This tool gathers some personal data. Please be careful before you proceed[/alert_box]
  1. Go to Ox.io
  2. Create a new account with it and validate the account
  3. Once you validate, click on Add email account and add the email address which has your contacts. The service does not support POP emails.
  4. Now, Click on the Contacts View icon. This will show you a popup.
  5. Select Import Facebook contacts option.
  6. Selecting this will bringup the Open-Xchange app on Facebook. Authorize it and Click on Start.
  7. This will initiate the export process to the Open-Xchange app.
  8. Export the contacts from the app.
  9. Import it to your Google account.
  10. You know what? That’s all you need to do. The Facebook contacts will be present on your Google account.

This is a bypass method and this just works. I’ve tested this, but with a low-priority alternative email address. Hope this was helpful! In case you missed any Google+ posts, here are some:
