Augmented Reality Cinema is an app that recognizes the location you are currently in and fetches and plays a scene from a movie that took place in that location.
If you are not sure of what Augmented Reality is all about, here’s a post that I’ve already made for you. AR has gone the distance that it deserved and now, the iDevices are taking them to the next level. This special app, will be coming to us very soon and all it does is more than what augmented reality apps currently can do. The app actually recognizes the the current location and plays a clip from a movie that was taken at the same place.
I’m not sure if the app is wrongly titled, since it detects only the location and does not augment anything, but still, I might be wrong. The app is still in development and will come out soon. I’ve done this very same thing as my final year project but did not submit it to the App Store due to money constraints.
All you need to do is just to point at a building or a monument and it will play the clip for you. The video below will best explain why this is really awesome!
