Steve Jobs reveals Apple’s new plans for their campus

We all witnessed Steve Jobs appearing at the WWDC 2011 Keynote and late after that, he headed back to the Cupertino City Council and revealed his plans for the new plans for their campus.

Jobs revealed that Apple will stay in Cupertino, in a land that Apple has recently purchased which he says to it’s close to his heart. A new campus that will rise in the land will place about 12,000 employees in a single building, making the employees closer to each other.

He displayed some projected models of the plan and also some images of the land actually purchased.  The building looks circular with curved glasses around the building. The building is obviously minimal (Apple loves minimalism) and they have also put the parking lots right under the building and growing over 6,000 trees across the new campus.

Apple has also planned to go eco-friendly, and will be using natural gas with a new center, which they have planned to construct inside the campus. The building is set to feature a lot of amenities like fitness centers, R&D center, cafe and a giant courtyard.

The new plant is expected to be completed by the year 2015.
