How to download all purchased apps at once on iTunes?

I was exploring the new build of iOS 5 beta 2 and as a part of it, I lost all the apps in my iTunes library. And after I searched for long, I figured out that iTunes already has a method to download all the apps that you’ve purchased before with your Apple ID.

Here’s how you can do:

Note: You need to have iTunes 10.3 or later to make this feature work.

  • Open iTunes and Sign-in with your Apple ID. This will take you to your country’s Apple Store.
  • Click the Home () button in iTunes store. This will bring up a Sidebar on the right side.
  • Click on the Purchased option. This will take you to the below screen. You will find all the purchased app, music and Books.
  • Now select the appropriate tab and Click the Download All () option which will be at the bottom of the page.
  • This will download all the apps to your computer. You may also choose to download selected apps or books from the store!

Hope this helps! I will keep posting some more tutorials on using Mac , App Store and iCloud soon. Until then, subscribe to my RSS or follow me on twitter (@ImKarthikK)

  • This saved me from hours and hours of frustration! I upgraded my 3GS from iOS 4 to iOS 5.0 and found much to my dismay that almost all of my apps were missing!

On Apple’s KB article, they only show you how to download previously purchased apps one at a time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
