The BlueStacks project is the one which was striving to run Android Apps on x86 based system architecture. This Silicon Valley based company has announced today that they are out on this business. BlueStacks uses a superb virtualization technology that would run apps built for different platforms in parallel. The users can now install Android apps onto their Windows desktop. The company is yet to confirm on their Mac version of this app.

BlueStack started as a very small hobby company. One of the engineer’s child asked is she could install Android apps on her MSI notebook, after playing with an Android phone. The company is now funded with $7.5 million, which is really huge. You can have a video demo of what is actually does at their official website: BlurStacks.
“We began talking to OEMs, and the reaction was violently positive”, said Rosen Sharma, CEO of BlueStacks. He also adds that these are just apps for naive users, but has got a very great enterprise potential. Hope this can be done for iOS apps too for Mac OS X. But I don’t see it in near future!
