As the rumor mills were busy spreading the news about Google and Sprint’s NFC Payment System, AllThingsD confirms that Google will unveil their next generation payment system, which would be NFC enabled at their D9: AllThingsDigital Conference, that is scheduled to happen next week (31st May to 2nd June). AllThingsD reports that Google invited them to join an event at New York and revealed this information.
Google’s new innovation is expected to be unveiled by none other than Ex. Google CEO, Eric Schmidt. Bloomberg also reports that Google is joining hands with Sprint Nextel to support the new payment service. The service will enable certain Android devices to pay for their products using the Near Field Communication technology.
