I was unhappy to notice that many of my apps were crashing after upgrading to the recently released iOS 4.3.2. After hours of testing and following many methods to stop app crashes, I thought I would do a DFU restore of my iPhone, thinking it might fix the problem.
And surprisingly, this fixed the issue. :-). Im conforming this after cross checking with some of my neighbourhood friends. You can follow me on twitter @ImKarthikK. I’ll keep you posted about this issue as and when i find some fix. :-).
[Update]:
To fix this issue, try a Hard Reset and then download and install a free app from the AppStore rite from your iDevice. This is fixing the issue for many iDevice users. Thanks to Bluhring for the update.
Here’s how you can enter DFU mode on your iPhone and iPad:
- Turn the iPhone ON
- CONNECT it to the your PC or Mac.
- Fireup iTunes to know about the status of the mode of your iDevice
- HOLD the Power/Sleep-Wake button AND the Home button for 10 seconds. This will make your iDevice’s screen go blank and it will switch off like an vintage TV.
- RELEASE only the Power/Sleep-Wake button and continue to hold the Home button
- After a count of 20 seconds, iTunes recognizes the phone in DFU Restore mode.
