Few days back Google announced (fooled) the Gmail Motion, which they told would control Gmail with our body motions. I’m not sure if Google was thinking about going deep into it, but the guys at ICT MxR Labs made it into reality. Their piece of software uses a technology, what they call “SLOOW – Software Library Optimizing Obligatory Waving”. Take a look at the video in which they demo using the Microsoft Kinect. It’s just awesome. And I just love the send email gesture. That’s too funny! 😀
[Update] A very good friend of mine, Ramaprasanna from Microsoft, has also come up with this technology. And looks like this is going to be a major hit among the people. Let’s see if Ramaprasanna released some SDK or the source for us. :). Here’s the video of Ramaprasanna, demonstrating his fun time with Kinect.
