Here’s another big news. There’s an email reply from the Apple CEO Steve Jobs himself regarding the Locationgate issue that many have been reporting.
Here’s the conversation with Steve:
Q: Steve,
Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It’s kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don’t track me.
A: Oh yes they do. We don’t track anyone. The info circulating around is false.

With this I guess all the rumors and speculation would come to an end. And we’re sure Steve will be getting his inbox filled with comments mails about this news. Also, if you are following this news across the internet, researchers have found that there exists a file that will prevent the system from tracking location. Now, let’s wait for Google to give their comments on this issue!
