Pranav Mistry, a proud Indian student at MIT, known for his ultimate handsfree device called The Sixth Sense, has now come out with another invention. It’s called the Mouseless.
The project aims at making the mouse invisible, and gives all the features of a physical mouse without actually requiring the physical hardware. The picture below explains the whole concept of this product.
This invisible mouse uses IR lasers and IR cameras that are embedded into the computer itself. And this is based on the computer vision algorithm, may be something similar to OpenCV is used in these technologies. And you know what, the mouse would cost just $20 to make. So, obviously, on a larger scale, it would cost much lesser and would be a huge hit in the market. Anyways, have a look at the video which Pranav demonstrated about the invisible mouse.
